How do I order a custom cake?
Ordering is easy! Simply fill out our Custom Cake Inquiry Form with your event date, serving size, flavor, inspiration photos, and any other details you'd like us to know. We'll review your request and get back to you within 48 hours with availability, pricing, and any questions we may have. Don’t see a response? Please check your spam folder.
Please note that submitting the inquiry form does not reserve your date. Your order is confirmed only after we've finalized the details and your invoice has been paid.
Looking for something more classic or need a cake sooner? Visit our Order Treats page to shop our Ready-to-Go Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and other bakery favorites. These items can be ordered directly through the website without submitting a custom cake inquiry.
How do I Pay you for cakes/cupcakes?
Once your order is confirmed, we’llsend an invoice. The invoice is payable via credit card online. I will only accommodate deposits for orders $300+. All orders must be paid in full before pickup.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO ORDER?
All custom cake and cupcake orders require 2-3 weeks notice, depending on availability. All other treat orders requires a 1 week notice. Please note that in the chance a last minute order can be accommodated, any orders received less than 72 hours in advance will incur a $30 rush fee.
HOW DO I GET MY ORDER?
Once your order is confirmed, you will pick up your cake on the reserved day during open hours. We will plan a pickup time at the Bakes by Izzy shop in South Orange. Orders that are not picked up at the scheduled time will not be refunded. They may be picked up during the next available business hours. Cakes will be held for 24 hours after the scheduled pickup time. After that, they will be discarded and no refund or credit will be issued.
DO you make Nut free treats?
Yes! Most of my treats are nut free, but they are made in a kitchen that processes nuts. Let me know of any allergies so I can take extra special care when preparing your order.
DO you make WEDDING CAKES?
I do! To inquire about a custom wedding cake, just fill out this form and we’ll go from there!

DO you SELL GIFT CARDS?
Physical Gift Cards are available in the shop.
How can I reschedule my treats?
Custom orders may be canceled within 7 days notice. Custom orders cannot be rescheduled. Once your order is confirmed, we reserve production time and purchase materials specifically for your cake.
If your event date changes, a new order will need to be placed for the new date, subject to our availability. We appreciate your understanding and recommend confirming your event details before placing your order.
Requests made with fewer than 7 days' notice cannot be canceled or rescheduled. Instead, we can prepare your order to be frozen at home — we will complete and wrap to maintain its freshness.
